VXC - Vehicle Exchange Colorado
Introduction
Vehicle Exchange Colorado (VXC) is a statewide program that gives point-of-sale rebates (e.g., instant price reductions) to income-qualified Coloradans who replace old or high-emitting vehicles with electric vehicles.
This program offers point-of-sale rebates for new and used electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) purchased or leased through authorized automobile dealers.
VXC rebates for eligible electric vehicles increased on November 3, 2025. These higher rebate amounts will apply only to valid VXC rebates that have not been redeemed by that date. The changes are not retroactive, and do not apply as post-sale rebates.
The new rebate amount for new electric vehicles will be $9,000.
The new rebate amount for used electric vehicles will be $6,000.
Note: The VXC rebate is restricted to one per tax household.
