VXC - Vehicle Exchange Colorado

This program is a statewide point-of-sale rebate program for income-qualified Coloradans. The program incentivizes replacing old and/or high-emitting vehicles with electric vehicles. 
 

The initial focus of the program will be on point-of-sale rebates for the purchases and leases of new and used battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), through authorized dealers only. 
 

VXC rebate amounts for eligible electric vehicles will increase, effective November 3, 2025. These rebate changes will NOT be retroactive; and are NOT post-sale rebates. Increases will apply to all VXC valid rebates that have not yet been redeemed as of November 3rd.

The new rebate amount for new electric vehicles will be $9,000.

The new rebate amount for used electric vehicles will be $6,000.
 

Note: The VXC rebate is restricted to one per tax household.
 

To qualify for the VXC program, a participant must meet all eligibility guidelines outlined on Vehicle Exchange Colorado (VXC) Program page. There is a check list you can use and print out to gather your documents and necessary information before starting your application.
